Balloons-Love is in the air -Poem Eight

Balloons-Love is in the air -Poem Eight

Struck love for each other

Besotted to be together

A woman struck by the love of another

A woman who took her life for her lover

A man from Verona in love with a woman

Ended his life not to live without her

Dagger in the heart another in haste

Sorrow to grief the loss of his taste

A decision of sleeping  potion after a dream

Suicide her life with the dagger in her dream

  1. I loved Romeo and Juliet so your poem was a treat to read Sabinah! “Balloons- Love Is In The Air” is an ironic and very cool choice for a title I love the contrasting tones. Beautiful summary. Two lines really stood out and resonated with me…Dagger in the heart another in haste…Sorrow to grief the loss of his taste…” Beautiful imagery!

  2. Sabinah this poem is very evocative, conjuring the pain of lost love or unrequited love, of lovers choosing to sooth away their pain with death.
All of your poems are so good. I feel ill equipped to critique them.
    Just beautiful
