Hour two
Between the woods and frozen lake
Today I am still in condoland.
No longer bound by cubed walls
random calls and
work attire.
My life is Frozen.
Well I ponder options
I have ventured out
to woods and wetlands
but not to travel to lakes or fjords
or foreign beaches
Oops between the woods and frozen lake Robert Frost
Frost was caught between options — just like this poet. Nice!
Cool, sort of my take (as a woman in a city). Enjoy the reality of many of us!
And miles to go before I sleep.
Steps to take before the final call,
Journey to take before
I go through the door,
I don’t know when my time will come,
When my clock will make its final tick,
I’ll just take one step at a time,
And keep my eyes on the goal.
Misfire
I used to misfire as much as I wanted
maybe that’s why
the bang bang movies
your Dad loves so much
are you nemesis as they make you jump
like the bullets fired from the guns
demand to watch something that makes your tummy quake.
Now you still jump,
even though I promise I won’t let
you
as a thirty something year old
You have a job gushing with responsibility;
it is your task to take care of others
with brains more sensitive than yours.
So I swear, I won’t bring the guns out to play
The woods are lovely dark and deep
Line from the poem By Robert Frost
Life is a journey not a destination
all have miles to travel ,miles to go
choices of which road to take, often
trouble and perplex the mental station-
the woods are lovely, mysterious and free
so much hidden so much to seek and see,
a haven for some , a home for many, many.
elves to play and witches to prey and peep.
still the woods are lovely with treasures replete
princes ride with swords, cut out their track
through dangerous darkness ,love leads their way
bravely they dash to awaken the treasure treat.
The woods are lovely dark and deep.
