Poetry Marathon poem #20

A professor,
tall,
thin,
small beard
on the chin
of his handsome
face,
talks to an old man,
lonely,
watching college
students
construct
a memorial
for a fallen
friend.
Great master
of his craft,
“Wait until
you see
what time
does to you.”
he warns.
