Heat around my chest emanates

Beats keep me on time while I sing

Blood travels to my extremities

Pumping pumping pumping fast

Stable even when I’m stressed

Four chambers leading to amenities

Fingers, toes, the beats will bring

Everything I need while my brain contemplates.

A Chance for Change

World over, flowers grew

The storys told must be true

In colors grand, expansive

Now, the seas are black with tar

Trash fills what used to be forested

Why am I telling you this?

Well my little friend, you might save us

Your unknown sprout growing here inside

Green and beautiful in this darkness,

Contrasting against the death we’ve caused.

Hope

Have you seen me?

Curly hair, blonde, a gap in my teeth

Blue eyes, a sparkle in them, hope

A vision towards the future.

Have you seen me?

Brown eyes, black hair, perfect smile

Strait hair, straight shoulders

Intelligence glimmers behind posture

Have you seen me?

Glasses obscure green eyes,

Red hair down to the shoulder

Dreams left unfullfilled.

Have you seen me?

You never will,

Yet you know me,

My face on the wall

Or the milk box

Everywhere and nowhere.

And that’s all I’ll ever be.

Unless…

Stealth Mode

For the glory of my country

Over the lake I ride

Resplendent in my Jeep

My weapon glinting in the light

Moon overhead shining bright.

I’m hunting tonight.

Anticipation rides deep within my breastbone

The wind howls over the plains

I see it in the distance.

My prey, so it begins.

Where the Wind Blows Me

It is time again,

Time to go out and change my place

To change my patch and scratch that itch

That itch that comes on the wind

It is time again,

To travel past Grandport,

Past Granport and maybe even Latch

Latching on isn’t something I can do

I can do most anything else, it’s true

Yet it’s time again

Time to cut all ties

To create more original lies

Lies for none who would hear my tale would believe it

So none shall hear it save those that theive it.

I’ll drift with the wind once more

Until I meet my oppressor and settle that score.

He’s the Best

I needed someone to trust.

And he was there.

Whether I’m broken or bust,

He gently pets my hair

And though he might not always be right

He always does what he can

It’s always quite a sight.

I believe he’s the sweetest man,

That man I’m going to marry

I can’t wait until that date.

Musings of a Forgotten Sunflower

WoPrompt9_photould that I could be built by man

So that beyond my weary growth

I could be reflected and simultaneously reflect

Which would allow my structure to stand

Up above the weeds and flowers
both

Unable to upon my roots project

A strangled and cramped space

Stifiling all that goes

To my head from my toes.

Making what little sun I feel upon my face

Useless, stolen, a total waste.

Breakfast Time

Good morning, breakfast time!
And how do we make the breakfast?
Gather the ingredients now.
Flour 3 eggs, stir and bake.

And how do we make the breakfast?
Each day more of the same.
Flour 3 eggs, stir and bake.
No windows for change.

Each day more of the same.
Hope you enjoyed it!
No windows for change.
Over and over again.

Hope you enjoyed it!
Good morning, breakfast time!
Over and over again.
Gather the ingredients now.

Taboo

I broke a rule today

I didn’t know. I didn’t mean to play.

I called them out, I made a shout

I didn’t know that that’s not what it’s about

I shouldn’t have done that, I know that now

Next time I’ll just write the story about the cow

There’s no other way to it,

Quite simply I blew it.

I guess I’ll just die here.

Or just disappear.

I can’t believe I did that.

Apocalypse words

I can’t believe I’m writing this

I watch as the sun sets before my eyes

There’s nothing left outside, the ground is burnt

Instead the inside beckons

The air conditions outside are stifling

Instead I’ll eat some ice cream

Worlds apart just due to a door

And yet I knew this, I’m still surprised

It’s as if I’m on an alien planet.

So rather than running or playing around,

I’ll just light a candle and make little sound.

Good morning rambler

Good night gambler

Time to rhyme

As time passes by

Moonlight lingering mild eyes

Rivers, frozen life.
