Strange that green growth survives,
though a dry yellowish look it gives,
music lost from keys white and black
seems to ring with the unseen breeze
where have all the senses gone?
where have all the flowers gone?
where have all musicians gone?
Gone with poverty, everyone?
Gone with greed, everyone one?
But no, there is hope, even with one
broken and silent ,
mind is alive
spirit is not dead
celestial sympnonies are in the air.

Prompt Hour Two – Line from Robert Frost’s poem -Woods are lovely dark and deep
The woods are lovely dark and deep
Line from the poem By Robert Frost
Life is a journey not a destination
all have miles to travel ,miles to go
choices of which road to take, often
trouble and perplex the mental station-
the woods are lovely, mysterious and free
so much hidden so much to seek and see,
a haven for some , a home for many, many.
elves to play and witches to prey and peep.
still the woods are lovely with treasures replete
princes ride with swords, cut out their track
through dangerous darkness ,love leads their way
bravely they dash to awaken the treasure treat.
The woods are lovely dark and deep.
Prompt -Hour One -Water- Secret of the two Seas.
O’ Poseidon bestowed with the power unique
tell us the secret of the two seas that do not meet
yet flow with different colors, wave by wave, move
by move, side by side, a perfect acceptance of diversity,
Poseidon speaks, ‘Man is nothing without the Gods’
oceans or skies the sole power is with the Creator
who loves clear open hearts, He blocks nothing nor
builds walls, see my home has no doors nor windows’
All are free to enter, float, sail, swim dive or dig
I am full of food, fish, color, charms and treasures
but many living beings are careless, inconsiderate
they throw harmful waste trash plastic on and in me.
Water will not become less but will be a source of
trouble for human beings themselves, the dead will
float the dying will cry and curse, the thought makes
me shudder, storms surge, waves rise to great heights,
Water is hurt, it is red now with blood and scales
breathing is difficult, inhale a struggle, exhale an
ordeal, oil blocks unmarked uncharted paths
Oceanides no longer accept offerings from fans.
Home state worries Oceanus, growing more old
countless pennies coins of gold, are useless down
on the sea bed, worthless is such a treasure which
sinks and loses its values, shine and becomes cold.
A revenge rises a tsunami results, as the grand
bowl shakes jolts jumps and throws up-
beware O People …I envision a huge surge…
sing not any songs nor lie naked on the beach
Pray pray pray peace, repentance forgiveness seek
Hour Fifteen ~ First Love ~
Write about a time when you wish you had said “yes”
Migration brought us together
much older than me, we
understood each other,like
a sister and brother-
he joined the army and went
to war-served well and won
an honor, then one day he
asked me -“If I proposed would
you say YES’ ?
I excitedly tried to say “Yes”
but all I made was a mess.
Hour Fourteen ~ With Children With Joy ~
Prompt
Even if you have children, write poems about imaginary ones.
My way of having fun
would be with children
playing in Winters
in the sun…
feeling joy and peace
The toys would be paper
and color pencils
or crayons
In Summers watching
sunsets and stars
finding constellations
would be Treasure Hunt
Fun would be among the trees
or watching a flower show
each child itself like
a flower so
no shopping no buying
though chocolate cake
or brownies would be OK
guessing objects in a bag
in circle time tags
thanking asking telling
sharing helping caring
each to feel equal and
each to be good
each to have respect
each to have understood
my way of having fun
would be to be with children
all happy,all at peace
no bombs or a gun
Hour Twelve ~ A Nonet ~ You Are With Me ~
singing dancing smiling
blowing away stress
to distant skies,
Hour Eleven ~ Memories in Color
artwork fascinates me,I often keep it close
sketchbooks numerous I have filled
colors make me seep in serenity green
as plants around sit in pots and dream
just like this artist dabbing in yellow-
catching the color on paper with his brush
he does not rush, but enjoys the pace
as his mind and spirit complete the race
a shade of green supports the stems
as movement leads to chords of place
flowers in color are now in the heart
in memories cool and far apart-
HourTen ~ Christmas Time
Text Prompt
Write poem about any holiday in December/early January.
Christmas Time, Christmas Time and Prayers,
Prayers for peace, a peaceful refuge,
Welcome Light, with lights on trees,
Green and white, in coloured deluge;
Décor delight diversity diverted;
All hope one, all call one, All pray one;
Life to begin, or life , to cease?
Christmas Time, Healing Time and Tremors,
Tremors of blasts, killing blasts,
Farewell Love, with flags on caskets
Red and Blue, in deathly solitude,
Sacred silence spirit severed;
All around flowers, all fresh now
All withered now, none in baskets;
Christmas Time Christmas Time and Salvation
Salvation, for every nation?
Salvation Eternal, end of turmoil
in blood and sand, crimson and cream,
a moaning scream, a shattered dream?
One for one, each kills one, one by one, till none is none.
Christmas Time, Christmas Time and Love;
Love for All, a Tolerant Love,
With Gifts garlands and Gatherings,
Silver and Gold, Young and Old, the Brave and the Bold,
Weak and Strong, the Fighters for Freedom for the World;
All with Love, All at Home,
None at WAR, Glad Tidings for All.
Amen.
Hour Nine ~ Too soon elate too soon dejected
Prompt
“This too shall pass,”
Time moves on, as
it is a matter of time-
movement makes changes
in weather growth and body
life was slow life was less
life became fast life was more
Man left Paradise
life was ease
life was at peace
but man;s nature
made the change
it all passed from plain to pain
that time passed when homes were caves
man was wild, men were slaves
that time passed and people grew
old died and up came new
this too shall pass-
life will begin afresh pure, peaceful
as the Almighty is Gracious and Merciful
I need not be frightened and definitely
not as simply having visited this world
I will be remembered as a good worthy poet.
Life is a gift
to be alive is a blessing
no matter what color or colors
you may be blessed with-
white black brown yellow or pink
let us think! Let us think !
Let us all be together like the foliage
on the lone tree, one trunk, one rooted place
all to breath the same air,
all to move in the same space.
All in harmony
All in acceptance.
