This sounds nostalgic, as if one were revisiting cherished youthful memories and then again its like a coming of age piece in realizing the comfort that exists in self and in nature.
I like the imagery of this poem. It does have an air of nostalgia, like something that once was but has always been (“although taller now; some have come and some have gone”) is why I say that. It leaves me with the feeling of being grounded, how going back to nature is soothing and “cleansing” for the soul. I like this poem.
