Pops in with a buttery texture.
Mouthwatering sensation
As I open my cupboards
They always fall off at my feet
As if begging me to have them
I pick the packet up and say, Movie needs to be planned
Wondering how can I say that
Crunchy buttery, chewy
The aroma you spread
Makes me to scream with love
Oh! my dear popcorn, thank you for being there and always.
I haven’t seen a poem about popcorn before! A few of the words could be changed for stronger effect. Like “scream”…seems too violent. Maybe “melt”? “Mouthwatering sensation” seems impersonal. Maybe “I’m drooling”. The last line doesn’t have punch…I would expect it to be ironic or funny or a play on words. Something like that. 🙂
