In the city
nature is forced into a corner
plants separated two feet apart
man’s organized chaos
plants in pots
reaching towards the sun
warmth felt through glass
But sometimes
sometimes nature breaks through concrete
refusing to be tamed
Such a great poem!
I loved the imagery of this poem! The poem moved very well and the last stanza came to life for me. In my mind’s eye, I could see vines brealing through the concrete and reclaiming the land. Well dome! I hope consider submitting this. I love it!
