Glasses

when you’re looking in the mirror
but you see it when you’re looking
out, trying to gaze at the world.

This is really thought-provoking and well-written.
As a glass wearer I see (or maybe not if greasy), the irony in this. Well written and for me as a glass wearer, there is humour in being able to identify with this frustration 🙂 Well done!
This is so true. Only glasses wearers will understand this, but there are lots of us in the world! The poet has identified a moment that causes an individual to be distracted from whatever is happening in life. Yes, that very distraction is a real part of life. Thanks for taking this very mundane situation so many experience and holding it out there for us to examine.
