A cat on a pedestal,
Paws tucked under smokey sholders.
Her eyes are closed in serenity, her body completely relaxed
Yet beneath her calm exterior lies a predator poised and ready to strike.
At a moments notice she leaps into action,
Springing down to earth to catch her prey.
A leaf penetrated by claws deep, and
It’s over, the cat is once again asleep.
