I’m Hannah, and I’m a university student studying writing. I’ll be doing the 9AM to 9PM half marathon (from Pacific time) for my first time and hoping to be really inspired from this experience.

Hi there! I’m Leila, a stay at home mama to two littles, a Preeclampsia survivor and advocate, and a maternal mental health advocate. I’m a follower of Christ, and coffee lover. I wrote a Christian contemporary romance called Love, Defined. I recently released a memoir/poetry collection about my Preeclampsia/birth stories, my bout with postpartum depression and how my faith pulled me through….that one is called Storm of Hope. It’s a hodgepodge of journal entries with 50 poems but I’d like to do a 100 poem collection…..one day. Ha!
This is my first little half rodeo and I’m excited to learn and join in on the fun. I’m still a little confused, as I’m not a wordpress user, but hopefully, I’m doing this right.
Greetings! I’m a proud mom (to a teen daughter & two rescued dogs), wife, writer, avid reader, beach lover, gardener, Christian, novice photographer, introspective moon child, & all-around creative soul who seeks peace & joy through a simple life. This will be my first poetry marathon (12 hour), although I participated in a few Poem-A-Day monthly challenges & completed a daily photo journal for an entire year.

Hello all, Thomas from Boston & vicinity. Poet, curmudgeon, and sluggard. Quickly aging here. Vintage item from the 1960s. Huge fan of Dylan Thomas, autumn, coffee, the Smiths, Pope Francis, Ted Kooser, morning walks, Mary Oliver, used bookstores, poetry workshops, Hart Crane, sparkling water, Theodore Roethke, and Frasier & Niles. Oh, yes, Uncle Wystan’s pretty awesome, too. I’m participating for the first time in this event, so am taking it slow by doing a 12-hour run. Am I preparing? Yes, trying to, by reading and writing every day, avoiding booze and television, attempting to stay centred, and generally staying cool. Wishing everyone lots of luck, and heartfelt thanks to our intrepid organizers! Let’s make good things happen!

My name is Zara, I’m 19 years old and I have a love for poetry. I am participating for the first time in the half marathon. I am not published nor would I say I have any professional experience but I have been writing since I can remember. I find writing and poetry to be an easy and powerful outlet for me to express my thoughts, feelings and personality. I’m excited for this opportunity to grow and learn and challenge myself!
Introduction
Hello everyone.
This is my third marathon, 2nd half marathon. I can’t wait to begin this challenge. I absolutely LOVE it and will plan on participating every year. I tried the full marathon last year, but was not successful. My body could not take it and I was out at hour 18. I know I had almost made it. I look forward to reading your writings. This is my first time doing the poetry marathon. I’m signed up for the full 24 hours. I’m looking forward to seeing how it kick starts my brain waves. Birds are a huge inspiration to my writing so here’s a baby osprey for you. 🙂

Thanks for letting me join the ranks for my second half-marathon! I’m collecting my fruits and nuts for the twelve-hour 
sprint, and my adorably helicopter wife will undoubtedly be hovering nearby, ready to bring me endless cups of hot tea and coffee.
I’m a college professor of sociology by day and writer by night. I’m also a lesbian feminist who lives in deep-red South Dakota. Yeeaaahhhh.
I write hetero, paranormal romance under the name Elle Hill and am currently penning my first lesbian paranormal romance; my lesbian pseudonym is TBD. I’ve also published poetry under my real name: Lesleigh Owen.
I can’t wait to do this thang!
Oh, and btw, behold a picture of my dog, Oscar. I have no reason to post a picture of him; Oscar needs no reason to crawl into your heart.
