the love unending

A love unending

Springtime or summertime

Nevertheless on and off season

Always in its causality

Effectors on its horizon

Wondering always elation

Jubilation such no objection

Mincing the life spices

Such a great splendor

Always defining moments

The  love  unending

raw

Jittery and jagged. My lips raw from biting them.
It’s a bad habit when I’m nervous or
needing to solve a bug in my code
Or stressed
I’m doing it now
Chewing my bottom lip
Jittery and jagged. My lips raw from biting them.

Poem 16

Scatter-brained I am
the poems are getting harder and harder
to write
My brain
is scrambled eggs
this is my brain on
poetry
sleep deprivation
creativity torturer
one 5-hour energy down
one to go
eight poems left
will I survive?
scatter-brained I am

16 I’m A Big Girl Now (at 60+ years old, oh yeah)

If being a big girl constitute a height of less than 5″, I’m a big girl now

If standing up to my rights in any given situation, is a gauge, I’m a big girl now

If not answering calls, or texting back will not kill me, I’m a big girl now

If donning up mini skirts, body-hugging attires (evidently showing curves at the wrong places),

and shorts shorts, gives me confidence and “I don’t care” attitude, I’m a big girl now.

If I indulge in downing liquors and get intoxicated with no qualms about “chemical reaction”,

I’m a big girl now.

If I shrugged my shoulders to rumors, with eyebrows raised, I’m a big girl now.

If I pigged out on ice cream, pizzas, delicatessen, extra rice and sodas

and ignoring the scales, I’m a big girl now.

If going to bed without a stitch on gives me a sound sleep, to hell, I am a big girl now.

If I said no and it’s meant as a no, shucks, I’m a big girl now.

If I can make a memory to be just a memory, oh my, I’m a big girl now.

If I can dance and sing into a frenzy, out of tune and missing steps,

not mindful of stares, catcalls and smirks from the audience, absolutely, I’m a big girl now.

If I could turn my back to hurtful situations and licked my wounds in silence,

and not telling a soul, I’m really a big girl now.

Yeah, I’m a big girl now, despite and inspite of everything, bruises and scars

(emotional, physical, mental), humongous problems, irritants unwelcome PDAs

Truly and awesomely, not just a complete woman or lady for that matter,

but A Big Girl now.

Angst? Me thinks not!

Desperate now that you’re gone?
No, not at all
Helpless without your ‘kind’ assistance?
Quite the contrary
Lost and lonely?
No, dear
Bitter and guilty?
Me thinks not
Life has become sweeter, easier and happier
My only regret is why didn’t I leave you earlier!

love poem #16

love poem

i have no poems for you

after all you had written me

still grateful you left my heart

now desperate to think of love

i will give you these five lines

Youtube

I want to upload videos but I don’t want to until I get a better quality camera.

Waiting.

Researching.

Looking for coupons.

Patience.

Surrender?

Even the cats

have abandoned me,

taken up their stations on the bed,

spreading out even further in my absence.

Perhaps I shall evict them,

surrender to sleep,

allow the words to pile up in a stack

to be knocked down and reassembled in an hour…

Red She Said

My constant companion
My daily beat
My midnight rhythm

How much do I love you?
Let me count the ways

All your favorites I lay before you:

Something Sweet
Succulent summer strawberries
Wild tart cherries
Ruby red grapefruits
Tangy tempting cranberries

Something Savory
Vine ripened tomatoes in a zesty marinara
Red pepper remoulade
with red roasted beets
Tossed into a red radicchio salad

Wash it all down,
Rosewater raspberry
watermelon sangria

Stay strong my friend!

p.s. dark chocolate is good for you too.

poem next, polluted fertility

Poem next

don’t tell me what to do or how to live.

I am totally and permanently disabled with bipolar disorder.

The rules do not apply.

I can either write no poems or cannot stop, sometimes.

I can either not stay awake or not get to sleep, sometimes.

Staying up all night is the worst thing I can do,

Except I do it all the time,

which explains a lot.

Let your passions roll the dinkum genius writes, as though he knows

what it is like to have to words coming faster than I can type,

and each one my GENIUS brain approves as brilliant, apt, not to be missed.

The waiting world would will be so lucky to read this!

Choices – do I take my medication and risk falling asleep,

not take my medication and risk falling off the edge of the world.

Perhaps I can check my archives for a message from myself when I enlisted in this turkey shoot. I must have had some idea of how to  proceed, unless I was in De Nile, which is not a river in the desert since it spreads its now polluted fertility along its banks….

Polluted fertility. That’s a good image for my brain.

Welcome to my world, my friends and frienders and friendees.

I don’t bite, scratch. Or do harm,

but I might hop up on you and lick your face.

Cave Canum.
