Hour 10 Prompt – Unconditional Love

She got into her wedding gown,

She wore beautiful flowers in her hair,

She carried magical secrets in her eyes,

Together they walked down the aisle,

She received a warm welcome,

As they entered a new life,

She was now someone’s wife.

She left behind all the wonderful memories,

There were no more fears, no more worries,

Her new home was lit with candles,

And her room was decorated with white orchids,

She held his hand and gazed at the full moon,

She felt his true love for her

She felt like a queen.

Her life took a drastic change,

When she found herself sitting in a wheelchair,

Her hope turned into despair,

It was then that she realised,

Her friends had left her all alone,

But he still held her hand,

He was the only one.

His love has not changed for her – all these years,

Time might have stopped for him,

But his love for her keeps them moving,

She holds his hand and gazes at the full moon,

She looks in his eyes,

She can see his hidden tears,

She understands that he unconditionally loves her.

11 pm explanation of failure

Time Warner Cable sucks.

Since 2 pm this afternoon, I have struggled to find Internet … from visiting the coffee shop to sitting in a hotel parking lot, and even visiting Macdonalds. You see, my internet stopped working sometime after my 1pm post and the cable provider cannot come until Sunday at 5pm.

So, while I have enjoyed this tremendously, I cannot keep running out to post poems. (Sad face here). But there is always next year!

It’s Going To Be Alright

And when the time does come

Where I lose my very thoughts

Right before my ladders last rung

On the verge of fall

When all that I have left to grab

Is this simple plea

With what time little that I have left

Through your arms round me

Then kindly whisper in my ear

As you hold me tight

At that point all I need to hear

Is it will be alright

The story of shield

This is how shield started.

It began with deathlok’s story.

It could have been gory.

Then hydra returned to power.

But only for an hour.

Then they went and defeated hive.

Lincoln didn’t survive.

If you think that’s awesome, just wait

Hour 9 Prompt – The View From Inside

Referring to first image in the given prompt.

I am a bird in a gilded cage,

I look astonishingly at the sky,

I try to understand deep within me,

How does it feel to fly?

The chirping of the birds flying over the lake,

High in the sky,

Makes me feel sad,

And I almost cry.

I want to open the cage,

And experience ecstasy and freedom,

I want to touch the seven colours of the rainbow,

Or on the oldest tree in the backyard

I want to make my little nest of life;

Someday I want to get drenched in the rain,

Someday I want to struggle

To just quench my thirst in the summer sun.

I want to live the cycle of life,

From spring to autumn, how does it feel to fly?

This is not my home,

It makes me feel claustrophobic all the time,

My dreams are locked in this cage,

I can only notice the changing colours and lights in the sky,

They always fascinate me

And make me dream of flying high.

I hope my misery comes to an end,

And I am soon set free to fly high,

More of us birds will flock together,

We will migrate from one place to another,

Some will die of hunger,

Though living a life of freedom.

I die daily,

Caged in a place where I can only cry.

Mirror Mirror

Mirror, Mirror, what do I see?
I see a blue eyed infant,
Gazing intently at me.
A lively being full of love and grace,
The innocent smile is unmistakable,
Yet, never leaves his angel like face.

Mirror, Mirror, What do I see?
I see an adventurous toddler,
Looking back at me.
A curious soul, testing his limits,
The word no is simply misunderstood,
Yet, he is shy and timid.

Mirror, Mirror, What do I see?
I see an active preschooler,
Seriously watching me.
Life is a question mark Why?
A wondrous world we live in,
Can only be explained with a sigh.

Mirror, Mirror, What do I see?
I see a mischievous child,
Glancing back at me.
Tasks were done without fear,
New beginnings were a challenge,
But, he never once shed a tear.

Mirror, Mirror, What do I see?
I see an outstanding teen,
Staring directly at me.
He is involved in school and sports,
While greatly caring about others,
On and off the golf course.

Mirror, Mirror, What do I see?
I see a proud graduate
Looking back at me.
As Bryan walks across the stage,
On this day, May 13, 2005,
He recieves a diploma and embarks on minimum wage.

Heart Felt

Heart Felt

So many metaphors for the heart

How odd it would be

To take them literally?

Imagine wearing your heart on your sleeve?

Having a heart of gold?

Or a heart of glass?

Eating a bowl of hearty soup?

Breaking someone’s heart?

I’ll stick with the figurative,

Thank you very much.

(And I mean that with all of my heart)

Cherokee Moonlight

As a hot Indian summer’s day winds down,
giving away to the cool, dark, evening,
A fair Indian maiden can see shadows,
Dancing in the Cherokee Moonlight.

As she sits in her room,
Gazing wishfully outside,
She sees shadows fall,
On the Cherokee Moonlight.

Looking at the Cherokee Moon,
In the clear, dark night,
She thinks about meeting her warrior,
Walking under the Cherokee Moonlight.

Watching the bright stars,
Twinkle cheerfully about the night,
Giving out their lustrous light,
She sees magic of the Cherokee Moonlight.

1, 2, 3, 4

Heat around my chest emanates

Beats keep me on time while I sing

Blood travels to my extremities

Pumping pumping pumping fast

Stable even when I’m stressed

Four chambers leading to amenities

Fingers, toes, the beats will bring

Everything I need while my brain contemplates.

Hour 15

I pump blood through the body
I have a very important Job
To perform I am made up of muscle

I am divided in four
So come check out
My Left ventricle, talk about my Left atrium, see my cousin the Right Atrium and Right ventricle

Oxygenated blood enters the lungs flows through the left atrium then into the aorta , then to the superior and inferior vena cava which goes through the tricuspid valve then to the pulmonary veins.

I am such a small
But strong organ in the body
So don’t you worry
I am also strong enough
To do my job.
