Grandfather – Prompt Ten

No one argues with what he says

His age alone speaks of wisdom

His eyes have a gentle understanding

Respect is freely given

The lack of hugs makes no difference

As that’s just who he is

He rides his bike on the mountains

Even at seventy-five

Circles

don’t expect to find the straight line in a circle insane spin, although the image can appear to be near, you are going in circles trying to path a direction…

Scream

The darkness came upon my soul with the pain that only hell of fire.

10

Good morning sunshine;

the flowers beams brightly –

making everything welcome

Praise and Adoration

Somber silence ever loud

as comes down

the Glory Cloud…

from Realm above

steeped in Grace

as God stoops

to kiss my face.

The Altar here holds a Prize

which opens up

Paradise…

Bread of Angels

humble and small

Yet holding Power

which loves all.

Bounty of Heaven

and Sweet Manna

which lasts

’til we sit at the Table

for the Endless Repast.

In Praise of Praise

In Praise of Praise

Not a participation trophy fan, still, I believe in praise–fair props.
Praise the days, praise the nights, praise the accident that is us,
Our planet, our time, our space, our separate solitary worlds,
Together and apart, unable to perceive reality let alone truth
Less a word than a gurgling gut full of sense and the sensible.

Through the singeing stain of soiled panties soaked in piss, as I sobbed,
Sitting beside the third grade boy crush and plum of my notice,
Shame stays, but the blush of recognition, heart surge pumping pride
in mastering a job well done, earned in doubt and fear, curtained hope,
The A, raise, high five, and fist bump, all winking nod to gratitude’s birthright.

You’re There for Me

Your heart is gold, your friendship true
I’m glad you’re in my life
You care deeply for those held dear
Even when you’re fraught with strife
You’ve gone through your own highs and lows
You’ve been a rock through mine
Our friendship always remains true
And ages like fine wine

Our bond grows deeper as years fly past
As we support each other through it all
For what we share is meant to last
Forever standing tall
You lean on me and I on you
Whenever struggles come
You’re by my side in all I do
With jokes of wine or rum

You are forever in my heart
And you’ll remain in my there til the very end
Even if we’re miles apart
You make my life much brighter
Than it could ever be
And life’s loads seem lighter
Because you’re there for me

Be

Bla, bla, bla
never ending
words are wording
repeating
all the same things
so many
repeating
still so many not listening

these ears they hear, clearly
these eyes, they see, infinity
these hands, they touch and bring ease
these breaths, now come effortlessly

Be

Lucernarium

The great light, incandescent, fires the evening sky

Coruscant gold and burnished red, at the lighting of the lamps.

A greater light, deathless, translucent as crystal

Pure love, a shining sea of glass mingled with flame—ascends

Supplanting the heat of stars with brilliant eternity

Consuming the light of day with the Light of Life.

And there will be no night there.
