(Hour 20) 5.30-6.30pm — #52 “Danny La Rue”

Reduced to writing doggerel coz my brain has imploded in the sky. Or exploded insky me. I’m not sure. Boom-boom. Chickenfart in any case.

#52

Danny La Rue
loves chicken vindaloo
I know this to be true
because so do you.

What really turns on my screw
is wondering if  Winnie the Pooh
loves his vindaloo too
or whether it races straight on through

#30 — another good candidate for dodgy rhyming poetry (might even get time to have a refresh-me-up shower this hower.)

Poem 19/24 – The Fall

Poem 19 – The Fall
Too late to run
I know it’s begun
The tumble down
Oh I hope I don’t drown
This scene feels familiar
Oh why do I continue
If the end is getting nearer…

Poem 18/24 – Every Cloud has a Silver Lining

Poem 18 – Every Cloud has a Silver Lining
Daily chores
Social norms
Creative expression
Which one do I adorn?
Too much to do
Too little time given
How to make a living?
Use your gifts
Your ability to task
How to make a happy heart?
All will work out well
At the toll of a bell
Sliver linings become loud
With visible clouds…

Hour 20

Guardian Angel

You are a lie, of course you are
You are too beautiful, too far
To be real
Incredibly surreal
I have been warned all my life
To not believe, but then how must I survive?
You are addictive
And imagination hardly restrictive
Fantasy let me love him
Let me run away with whim
O Guardian Angel, I’m falling for you
I am not faulty, it’s the spell fate brew
And your goodness
Kindness
I am aware, though, I am entirely to blame
But misery played this game
Tricked me into believing,
Mischieving,
I am aware though, I won anyway
You can not be a lie, not today
God makes no lies
And I am incapable of creating so perfect a guise

Poem 17/24 – Fire

Poem 17 – Fire
The flames roar high
My mind races wild
Nothing is in its place
I must gather my life,
My creative soul
Cannot leave it behind
This is my mould
Papers,
Laptops
Memory sticks –
All my materials in the mix
Cannot leave anything behind
15 years cannot be for naught
Sitting on the grass,
Flames burning hot
Arms hold my words all mixed in the lot

Poem 15/24 – Words Never Said

Poem 15 – Words Never Said

I tried to tell you
Years ago
Of a flame burning bright
That had began to grow –
Why did we not act on sight?

This flame lies deep
Deep inside
Not visible to the eye
As only the heart can see

An eternal light,
No harm will steel it’s might
For an eternity it will be
That my heart will love thee.

Poem 14/24 – Senses

Poem 14 – Senses

Taste
Comfort –
Filling my senses

Warm
Cold –
In all flavours

Hard
Soft –
And all different textures

From smell to sight
To taste sensations –
That is what I like

Poem 13/24 – The Road Less Traveled

Poem 13 – The Road Less Traveled

A came to a fork in my road
And not knowing which one to take,
I looked down the one –
To see as far as I could in deed
And then down the one with the tumble weed

I choose the less traveled of the two
As I wanted to explore the unfamiliar
I knew I could turn back,
If back was where I wanted to be –
However the less traveled path
Was what I was meant to take

Years from that day I remember
The path I had taken in that December,
What would have happen to me –
If I had not taken that choice to heart
Heaven knows where I would be.

Poem 12/24 – Acknowledging Shifts

Poem 12 – Acknowledging Shifts

I feel the change
The shift in side

Is this the way forward?
I fear to think my time
Has been for naught.

This feeling,
This pain,
This anger –
Can no longer hide.

Change is inevitable
The motion has begun…
