Leaping in joy
over distant stones
Climbing and falling
Falling and climbing
Alone, yet with
Joyful heart
Trusting my “hooves”
Right on spot
Who is afraid of
Falling anyways ?
Falling down
On a stony ground
Dignified death is

A sand less shore
Diesel vapour blowing from the stack
Entering my nostrils and making me sick
So far away
So far away
My love
My hope
So far away
A crescent night sky
Shadows cast from moonlight
I see into the darkness
But nothing
All I see is you, the translucent outline
Of you in the night
My watch stops
Time is still
The rolling of the sea
My friend
The wet open air
My comfort
The salty taste on my skin is your skin
Your touch
Your heart
My home

In August, we blaze with light
corona: plasma aura for a universe
without centre, light broken free
I say yes to this uncentering
Yes to the emptiness that carried
light within it, held my life together
Yes to the wings of solar wind
that lift me out of disbelief
wings that spiral into other lives
I say yes when all around me
a dark world insists that no
is the only sane answer
I say yes to that, too
lean into the fleeing light
and wonder about darkness
Words I don’t say:
Help/Gift/Wish/Happy
Help-the word that means you can’t do something on your own. And maybe so.
Gift-things that presented to get out of trouble when you do something wrong
Wish-Something that you hope will happen by coincidence. It never does
Happy-That bubbly feeling someone gets. Warm and fuzzy feeling. Doesn’t exist
all these things have one thing in common, I wish I could change the definitions.

the worst of her is in jars
she calls collecting them a hobby
she learned her scales before
exactly how to talk
the music and her laughter,
while her father held the latern,
all the way through cancer
one hand on a piano
and the other on her jars
she wears rain boots on
clear days and they
tell her she’s a pessimist
but really she just
loves the rain
she keeps an umbrella beside a guitar
no good songs are born from sunshine
except when you treat it
as the calm between the rains

Come join me under
this archway,
A bridge of stone to protect us
Adventure falls before us
Spilling into tomorrow.
what were you looking for that day
i saw you in the crowd?
were you feeling a little lost?
i only saw the frown.
were you running from the madness?
out only for a breath of air?
it looked like you were sad
when i saw you standing there.
the sky had changed to rain
but i didn’t really care
because once i saw your face
i was totally unaware.
i smile when i recall it-
i remember it so well;
my sunshine on the best days-
sometimes my living hell;
but through it all i remember
and i’ve never seen it since-
the emptiness i know was there
that day i looked beyond my fence.
Bleeding knees
are better than
a bleeding heart
I tell myself
once more
as if this time
it will help.
And once again
I stumble
until finally
I reach the tunnel.
And once again
there is another one
just beyond.
Success comes from the mastery of oneself
From this mastery
We are connected to our heart
Through self-acceptance
When we come from our heart there
Is no place for jealousy and envy
In our dealings with others
We are indeed coming from a place of
Unconditional love
Living in fear
Paralysed in every facet of your life
Enduring unnecessary pain and anguish
Why? Unable to trust oneself
To let go of the fear
Where did the fear come from?
Emotional pain
Found deep inside
Hiding in the shadows
Directions given to the shadows
by limiting beliefs and past regrets
in short Guilt and recriminations!
How does one free themselves from this nightmare?
Self-Acceptance that we are
Truly loved and Self-forgiveness
By setting ourselves free
We can dance with the moon
And be re energised by the sun.
