Here’s wishing all the participants (full or half) the very best! May your creative juices keep you going. This is my third attempt, the first one had me raring for more. Last year too I was very excited but for several reasons could not complete the full marathon. So I will not say much ,having learnt the hard way that sometimes our best intentions go for a toss, but see you all soon, in a couple of hours!!!!
Hello from Greece
I’ve missed poetry marathons. After a couple of successful ones, I have failed several due to either health reasons or other life issues interfering. They haven’t coincided well with other life events for me recently. This one is also interesting for that, I will be writing from Greece, where I am currently on holiday. It will go either really well or I’ll fail again, but it’s always worth a try.
Due to not being at my laptop for most of it, and not enjoying typing on my phone, I will be posting late, if I manage to participate this year. Oh, the pressure!
“Teacher’s – The hard-driving models of education”
Teacher’s are the treasure of uniqueness,
Who raise our morale and the wits we possess.
They are my guide, role model and motivation,
Like rising with powerful ambitions.
Make me learn ethics & discipline,
Someday, get my picture clicked with a manicuine.
As pearls in a string,
Giving us fantastic wings.
By learning values, realising our dreams,
Never forget the power of the supreme.
Arising hopes with rays of sunshine,
Dear student, you are as bold as the hero & mine.
Help me in crisis to set up a chamber,
Don’t repent of failure as well as decreasing numbers.
Celebrating victory like goals accomplished,
I remember those days when you smiled as I wished.
Encouragement to strive for perfection,
Without peer pressure and domination.
“I miss you” as you were an integral part,
As connecting two souls apart.
Happy teacher’s day,
Who had shown us the right way?

The day you tied the knot together,
Both took a pledge to,
Take care of each other.
This moment is extraordinarily special,
Which arouses amazing sensations,
Full of surprises & celebrations.
Arranging the ballroom party,
Is children’s responsibility.
Your marriage is auspicious,
Make it enjoyable and memorable.
With showering of flowers,
“Age is no bar”.
Wanna have a candlelight dinner?
Capturing of snapshots is super – duper,
The atmosphere is blissful and bountiful.

Women are mostly shy by nature,
Who wants to raise their stature?
Excelling in sports, education and politics,
Unique ideas & approach is holistic.
They aspire to visualise,
With firm belief in the eyes.
Ready to face the hardships,
While praying with whispering lips.
Embodiment of heroism,
Brave the odds with optimism.
Showcasing the world’s hidden talents,
By being patient and tolerant.
For them, issues are nitty-gritty,
Never feeling despondent or pity.
Role model of inspiration,
Strike for gold with determination.
Like cooking sumptuous suppers,
A pure heart makes us feel fuller.
Bonafide, spiritual & intellectual,
Always keen to work,
Rejoicing in the present and remain perpetual.

This is not my first time of joining poetry marathon just that I haven’t been able to participate in the present ones.
Poetry is a way for me to express my thoughts and most especially topics that of real importance; family, parenting, politics, climate change and more

“New beginning of high aspirations”
Celebrate the togetherness with cheerfulness,
The wedding of two candles,
Oh! My soul dwindles.
Like glorious moments of success achieved,
As our outlook towards life is perceived.
It’s an inspiring beginning,
To fulfil my ambitions,
The day when she looks stunning.
Which will bring sunshine,
So that, I never fret and whine.
Strong bonding of love and friendship,
Like going on a vacation or a trip.
May our dreams turn into reality,
Benevolent nature, courage and unity,
You are, empathetic as well as witty.
Will plan together a bright future,
Let’s have a family to nurture.
Make me write on virtues of tolerance,
As staying away from turbulence.
This relationship will set an example for others,
