If there was truth to linear time,
I wouldn’t know you when we wake up tomorrow
The Sun would rise on seemingly its own agenda
the moon would come unexpectedly
The landscape of your skin would be new with every touch
and the sound of your voice different every time
If there was truth to linear time,
Perhaps it would be easier to rest in the now
Every second on the clock’s face would have a story to tell
but no one would return to listen
We’d leave them alone
blinded by the shine of the next moment’s pass
