There is an escape through the leaves
A calm place that will greatly appease
It is just past the rushes
Where the sun sets and blushes
While watchful willows put you at ease

Lovely! Rhyme is natural and easy. I completely went there with you : )
That’s wonderful! Thank you!
I love this poem! From the rhyming scheme to the double entendre (of sorts)/homonym, this short poems is filled with tall meanings! ” A calm place that will appease….Appease has the root of ease and instantly communicates ease… And the vowel sound/digraph is calming too…”It is just past the rushes …Where the sun sets and blushes.” I love the personification of the sun. Beautiful poem!!!
