First Time. Where am I posting? On a separate attached doc? Or right here?
Same question as above
I am confused about where to post as well. I posted my 1st poem on my page and pressed the publish the button. But I see ppl are posting here on the hourly prompts section, soooo I don’t know what to do.
same here
So, do we post here or on our page?
I will post this one on both until I hear from someone–don’t know why these details are flustering me this year.
Old age?
Prompt one 9 am Write a poem in which the four elements (Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water) play an important part.
Today’s sky is full of wind and water.
Forcefully attacking the earth
Happily quenching small fires in
Nearby woods
Quenching also the fires of my ambition
I will stay home and read today
Earth, wind , fire, water
Which element is out of synch
In my friend’s body
As he looks out
Of his hospital window
Watching
Rain attack the ground
Wind move the trees
He feels life’s fires smoldering
Only his hope and will
Left to rekindle life’s spark
From sheltered embers.
hair flying
our boy screams
fire fire..
a bucket of water
onto the dandelions
Earth…
Life giving
Hope growing
I would bury myself in you…
Wind…
Gently blowing
Wildly howling
Carry me away with you
Water…
Thirst slaking
Soul hydrating
I am awash with you
Fire…
Doubt purging
Love refining
I am ablaze for you
Earth Wind Water fire
Elements of my desire
Combine into a vortex of emotions
Futile.pointless, mindless notions.
Thank you for the lovely prompt topic. I thoroughly enjoyed writing this poem
Wind-swept minds
Torch her to flare up poems
Boats float on soiled water
I am glad everyone wrote a poem but please post on your own Poetry Marathon blog page. The new + button at the top will help you get there. Please re-post anything you wrote here on your page so it is easier to find again.
Thanks. Did that too.
The wind breathed fire
into the hollowness.
You whimpered
as water dripped
off the side of the swaying earth.
A rhythmic sound.
The Jersey Angel
It lives near tidal estuaries
near rich salt-marsh earth
in touch with wind and cedar creeks
where skimmers and sanderlings feed.
Near rich salt-marsh earth
with its currents, crabs, and minnows
skimmers and sanderlings feed
in touch with wind and cedar creeks.
With its currents, crabs, and minnows
a regenerative pineland thrives
in touch with wind and cedar creeks
and lighting and fire
a regenerative pineland thrives
then dies then lives again
because of lighting and fire.
It lives near tidal estuaries.
Thank you for the prompt, Bhasha. I enjoyed it. I’ve posted it on my page. Let me know if you would like it here as well.
Can I ignore the prompt.

Thank you Samantha.

No WordPress logo. I have a blog and rarely have issues logging on but I see no option to do so on this mobile page. I’m going to try on a desktop.

Always, every step we take, O gaNESa, are dedicated to you. Without fail, lead us to completion, fill our words with “Om” and may the universe fill with beauty. This is what we pray for!
Could NOT figure out how to do this…situated now, sorry to be late!
One:
My heart, the brown in which he plants his seed. His laughter, the rain that waters it. His kiss, the fire that warms it up. His absence, the winds that leave me frozen.
Sandy, did you also post the poem in your dashboard as a new post?
Poems should not be placed in the comments of prompts unless they have also been already posted on a poets individual page. The New + button will allow you to make a new post and if you can’t find that logging into the dashboard should make it obvious.
Sorry, I thought this was where we were supposed to be posting them. I still have not learned where to post them then. I am so far behind and forever lost.
Just focus on the writing! That is what matters. Although this is where you should be typing them: https://thepoetrymarathon.com/wp-admin/post-new.php
