Honeybees

(for hour 18—from the hour 11 image prompt)

Honeybees

Crafting questions to question my talent

(or lack thereof)

Vibrant colors could cover

inadequacies in technique

and mixing of medium

Buzzing bees bring a smile

reminding me

of dragonflies

checking a child’s coloring chart

way back when I was seven

Maybe my art’s not a complete loss

if I can fool the honeybees

into checking it out

Accompanied loneliness…

I am begging: Let me be lonely but not invisible,

For would even stay by your memories but not separable…

Would prefer to be your shadow even in the dark,

Thou not seen, but shall always be ready to embark…

Loneliness to be just as one of a virtue,

Distancing self from all, to devote completely to you…

Not even any worldly worry or thoughts to bother,

So much, even in front of god, just you to be honored…

Loosing even the self’s esteemed place,

To find, if with you can get replaced…

Wouldn’t just mind the self to be blown,

If can anyhow prevent you, of being all alone…

Hour 17 Poem 17

This the one,

Yes, this is the one,

This is the one that’s going to make your eyes get big,

Bottom lip dip low,

The only reaction, you could have is, Whoa!

Read that again, the last line,

…Rewind…

It wasn’t meant to be that way,

It’s just the way the word play,

Apart of my composition,

Scrambling my thoughts to compose an exquisite piece,

Open to interpretation,

Different perspectives,

Yet, it is in a trait everyone carries,

So, I everyone should respond with their opinionated interpretations.

Hour 14

Quo vadis?

Will I have children one day?

Will they make me proud?

Will they be proud of me?

Is it worth giving birth in such times?

Sorry my future potential babies,

but everything is so insecure

and the mental war is so tough that

I end up asking myself stupid questions!

21~16

~my skin feels so tingly…

(remembering your touch)

~my fingers in your hair…

(yours wander everywhere)

~fueling our flame…

(when we both still cared)

Cant be free if you’re not

it makes me glad to know you see me through

the clouds and all the shadows that they cast

but How can I accept the the blessings you bring

if they make this  much joy for me and you’re still feeling blue?

When do you get to feel some too?

I wish I could share what comes when I feel your smile

I’d give it back

all of it to you

if only my me with you was as much goodness for you as your you is for me

but I can’t tickle your smile or make your heart sing

bring life to your being nor ask for any more…

Have I pulled life from your flow?
how could I let myself get so high when any part of you feels any kind of low?

let me not dam your way
take from you or fill your space

I’ll stick around but only if you want me to stay

I’ll stay but not if you’d rather I go

It’s a long way to this place and farther without flow

Perhaps it’s time to let me let you be the free I almost let me find with you and wish you found with me

My Mother

My Mother

My mother

The one who bore me

My mother

The one who loved me

My mother

When I cried she wiped my tears

My mother

When I fell ill she was in pain for me

My mother

In prayers for me she always was

My mother

To see me rise was her joy

Casting

There is no fascination.
like that of
observing shadows

even as a child the idea of
light playing
with objects and time
was more than
simple diversion

As a kid spending summers
at grandparent’s
lake home
my east-facing room
beckoned each morning to
make an appearance

I came to see mornings as
welcome respite from
wasteful sleep
marveling at the
birch-tree-kabuki-cum
wakeup call

I knew every nook of
the birch stand
right outside that window
and often woke to
dancing leaves on my
pillow
forever endowing me
with the joy
that can only be found
in knowing that
the sun
and its friends the
shadows
were willing, gracious
playmates

Hour 10 Prompt 10 Epiphany

Hour 10  Prompt 10

Epiphany

Epiphany is one of the big three Christian holidays.

It was a big reveal to us. It was then we Christians

first knew, really knew that Jesus was both human

and the Son of God, though some believe him to be

the Sun of God. Christmas and Easter are the other

two major Christian holidays of the big three. Epiphany,

in the church in which I grew up we had a bonfire,

burning those Christmas trees and we all stopped

at Arby’s for French dip sandwiches. Epiphany

and its Revelations.
