As I sit here contemplating
Completing the down hill slip
Of the annual event I wait for
Like a child at Christmas
As We sit here waiting
For your blessed arrival
I’m on call
As we walk along each day, closer
We ponder who you’ll be
We wonder, what will ignite your passion.
For we each have our own
Music, Art, Words, Magic
Our imaginations not limited by our intelligence
We dare grow beyond.
Never forget, Nanny loves you
A very intimate and thoughtful poem! Lovely!
Beautiful poem to mark the eventful wait. This is a lovely gift to the little one coming.
Amanda agaln uses her creativity and simplicity to capture a special moment well done I love it 🥰
This is so sweet Amanda and full of beautiful imagery! A beautiful discrete ode to the new arrival! I adore these two well written lines…”We ponder what you will be…We wonder what will ignite your passions…(Yes, I wrote will twice here because I am wondering why you wrote one as “ll).. I adore this poem and hope that it is one of your submissions!
I will give some thought to “you will” over the contraction, as it does read differently. This one is not on my submission list, though it does seem to be a favorite.
