I have not put pen to paper as of late. Thank you dear poetry marathon for this yearly tradition of prompts and accountability. Where I may feel alone and isolated, it’s nice to know there are so many poetry comrades. United we write!
Haven’t used WordPress in a few years so figured I better take it for a spin, as per suggestion on Ye Ole Board of Dash.
Bed time…sweet dreams everyone! May the Poetry Fairy visit you in the night!

Hey Everyone!!
my name is Addy. This will be my third poetry marathon. I’m so excited to be attempting the 24 hour marathon again. I made a special journal and have taken a few other precautions to help be successful this year. 🤞🏼 Positive thinking and mindful breath work, we’ll get through this ❤️
I’m a Masters student, and a mama bear. I live in Canada and love writing or any form of expressive arts. I love to advocate for inclusivity and accessibility for all through my work as a Recreation Therapist. (Naturally, I’m very biased in advocating for a balance between our activities of daily living and recreation, and work and play, so I’m ecstatic to be here with everyone.🥰)
I look forward to reading everyone’s poems. ❤️
Best of luck,
Addy
We are known as Pastafarians
Our Quob is egalitarian
Though some may view us as some crockery
We’re serious with our mockery
Since multi-universe works the best
We leave to randomness all the rest
Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn’t judge
On this point we will never budge
Pasta, pirates, any parrot-kind
Our welcome mat is not hard to find
You say I have a bad attitude
But honey you the one with an ill mouth
You say I am selfish
But you’re the one with an issue of sharing
Bad attitude, Intolarent
All the things said about me
In the end its who people couldn’t stand
NO one is perfect
I ain’t a saint
In the end its me who have people beside me
A thought she’ll write from down below, and out. Feelings heartfelt heartly to make her hairs to stand up. With something extraordinary and special. Where this will help her to do even better. Writing has always been a thing a two. Allowing her to rewrite those themes to pass time away. With a roaring thunder of lights.
My name is Rosa Lee Lester-Ranson. Writing has really been my passion since my childhood, and now. To help inspirer and uplift the broken hearts with hope. To cheer them on and into happiness. Just loving what I do. In a run of a day. And with a peace of mind. To give on back with joy.
When joy comes in the morning. With tide tears knowing that I have help many others. In a niche of time. To fill me right on up. Where my well will never runs dry.
God bless you all. To do well writing in this project to share of yours and my expertises for a cause.😇💯🌹🌹🌹
Hi. I am Prachi Shah and this is my second full marathon. I had a blast with the first one and also got to read amazing poems from people around the world. I am geared up with my cup of coffee, my diary and my pen and have also locked up my daughter and husband in one room :P. Let’s Do This!
Apparently, this year’s half-marathon (I never do the full marathon, because I like sleep) will take place during a heatwave. If today was any indication, tomorrow will be quite toasty indeed. Makes me glad I had an air conditioner (excuse me—”ductless heat pump”) installed about a year and a half ago.
This will be my fifth time participating. Much like last year, I have continued to have difficulty writing; instead, I have had much better luck with music (https://tintymusic.bandcamp.com/). Whatever anyone thinks of the sounds, many of the titles I have come up with have been miles better than most of my attempts at new poems. For this reason, I am glad to have this year’s half-marathon (did I mention that I like sleep?) to present a challenge.
With that, I set the timer on my air conditioner (did I mention that I like sleep) and get ready for bed. Six o’clock comes early.

Good day/night to you all!
You may call me Molly, I have participated in every poetry marathon since 2016 and am thrilled to participate again though I truly fear failing this year due to low energy levels every day leading up to it.
If I am lucky hopefully that’s been my body storing up energy until the day of and I will complete another full Marathon. A lot has happened since last year but I hope we all make it!
