#21 Sleeping Dogs

Dreaming puppies running

To new imagined places

Yelping with shaking paws

Remembering a life before

Perhaps seeing what’s to be

Puppies courageous in sleep

Legs held straight and high

Vulnerable in another world

Showing trust finally at home

Half Marathon My Hour 11

This one got rather short again. But only one left!!

Forgotten Art

It has been so long

No pencils used

No markers uncapped

All left to collect dust

Sketchbooks kept closed

All left till inspiration comes

Life of Stacy my imaginary Friend (Poem #23)

Stacy is a teenager she makes all teenagers feel comfortable
Her style and flow is cool
Never being a snob is just not her style
Stacy is full of gratitude joy and endless adventures and excitement

Stacy loves to go to the beach
She loves the sun sand and trees
Stacy is a nature lover
Her demeanor is one of a great character
She enjoys the company of her friends

Stacy can be smart mouth from time to time
She lives in a purple gated community
Her dreams and aspirations are to become
An inspiration and a good leader to all
Teens she come in contact with

Habble skirt and punky bruster socks
I sure you know which era she came from
Dice board game, jaks and hop scotch
Are games she would play most of her spear time the songs she listened
were off the charts cris cross will make you jump jump,
Como la flor made her day

Last but not least she played the video game called Mario brothers
guess if your reading this you can never guess
Who Stacy really is because you never met Stacy before.

Right now I’d give anything
For my friend to walk behind me
Wrap her tiny arm around me
And rest her chin on my shoulder
Looking at the computer screen with me
As we sigh in comfortable companionship

20~23

Where does she go

When I cannot see her?

I can see her toes from under the door

But I am on the other side of it.

I wave my paw by my eyeball trying to reach her.

Why is she laughing?

Where does she go

When I cannot see her?

I hear big water splashing

And I am afraid that she is drowning!

I jump through the thin plastic to save her~

But suddenly there is yelling…

Where does she go

When I cannot see her?

Where did this giant fabric mountain

Under the bedcovers come from?

Did something just wiggle?

I think I should attack it!

Where does she go

When I cannot see her?

Did she really leave the house?

Does she not know how much I need her?!

#20 Change of Day

Morning grass is damp

Small violets refreshed

Yellow buttercups revived

Waiting roots are relieved

Leaves hang low before

Sun can wipe the dew

Then will rise in time

Reaching for daylight

Silence in between

Before it all begins again

Do violets and buttercups

Wonder why they’re here

Prompt 23 ~ Post #23~ Tommy the Turtle

When I need inspiration

he sits with me at night.

Why others can not see him

I just don’t think it’s right.

But he’s my quacky little turtle

who helps me write away.

When I can’t think of the perfect word

I know I want to say.

I ask him to complete my sentences

and how to place them so.

That everything will just make sense

and then away my fingers go.

He hides right in the corner

Yet no one knows he’s there.

But when he sees  me struggling

he’ll pop out with a phrase to share.

I guess he’s only for me

Cuz I’m the writing buff.

And I’m the one who needs him

When I just need a tug!
