Poem 2 -Haidresser -Happy Days

Happy days

I have worn wigs for a long time

arrived on time but yet there  is a queue

but beauty is in the eye of the beholder

take care of you or no one else would

be Confident in whatever you choose to be

let no one steal your confidence

be joyful and appreciate life

as life could be taken just like that

be honest with your self as lies take you no where

you get found out in the end so why not be honest

be Polite and enjoy the respect we learnt

as children growing up in the suburbs of Lagos

Stop being manipulative as there is a reason for this behaviour

the true reason would be revealed in the end

happy days don’t last forever as the memory of someone you love could fade-in minutes

The boat journey

The boats journey

The boat started its journey,

The boat goes up and down,

The water broke down and Spray with drops of water.

It creates a Type of sound.

People in the boat enjoy watching this.

We can explore the marine life.

Sometimes there will be high waves.

Its so adventureous.

Fishes swim happily

My name is Sabìnah Adewole

Waiting for you

  1. I see the troubles in your eyes,
It’s not difficult to find.
You make me always tired.
I want go away with you night.
I’m not in your mind.
So i talk about my side.
Just leave me,
I want lonely.
But i still waiting for you.
You move that place and blame me every time.
Then you just said, I’m lie with you.
But I’m only know what I think.
You just say and go away.
But i still waiting for you.

Greetings fellow Marathoners!

Hello,

My name is Eilidh (pronounced Airlie to rhyme with fairly, rarely and rarely).

I live in Western Australia so for me the marathon starts at 9pm.

I have been writing poetry since I was about 8. I realise that I have been alive in 9 different decades so I have a bit to say. I don’t write in one style, although these days I prefer haiku and despite my note about pronouncing my name I am not a great fan of rhyme – unless I am writing a sonnet. I do like alliteration though.

I shall prepare for the Marathon by having a new notebook and a filled fountain pen on my desk because I am old fashioned in this sense at least.

I shall also prepare by having a snooze before the marathon starts. At 73 years I am not sure I can do 24 hours, although it is only ten years since I pulled one of my frequent all-nighters in order to get a paper or lecture written, so here is hope.

Solo

I am going so low,

Si I am going solo.

I won’t allow,

BUt,I wanna lay low.

I am standing in the crowd,

And everyone more around,

Then I standing solo,

Dont’t wanna go low…
