My Second Full Marathon!

How exciting to be “running” another marathon for the second year in a row. It’s Friday night and I’m heading to bed to get some much needed sleep. I’m so nervous about tomorrow’s early start! Terrified that I won’t make the full 24 hours 😵‍💫🥱😴😴 But I’m persevering pen in hand, brand new notebook ready (I’m old fashioned) the rhyming machine and thesaurus tabs up on my Chrome and so much pent up emotions and feelings that will eventually find their way into a poem or two or ten or 24! Good luck everyone! Happy writing ✍️

Million pieces of heart

My heart is broken into million peices,

I lost my happiness,

My soul is frozen,

Now the broken peices are invisible,

I hope one day i could find the lost happiness,

The stars stop shinning.

Until i leave the door open,

Heart broken into million peices when i start building castle in the air…

Introduction

Greetings my fellow poets! My name is Jessica Gershon and this is my fifth year participating in The Poetry Marathon. The poetry marathon holds a special place in my heart. Poetry is therapy. Hugs make you live longer. I work in mental health but I am in love with nature, gardening, music, and art. Love makes the dream come true!

Forest

Living in the forest

It is so hottest

People can cut the trees

Then how should we live free

Come on rain

Come to forest

Then make me coldest…

The pain – Fate

Fate: Ate me,

Dreams invisible,

Wish impossible,

Lie available,

Rules tons and tons,

Boy Shit,

Alone uhh….

Everyday I waste litres of water-Tears

Beauty_fool

Beautiful is beauty fools,
You make many beauty rules.
You change your rule,
And make you like a cool.
It’s always be good.
When you choose beautiful,
Then you see many fools.

I smile without reason-Love

Temporary happiness,permanent injuries

I smile without reason

Even I die inside

Possessiveness,egoistic

Caring,sharing

I smile, I smile

Feel safe,Gentleman

Eye contact. Crazy talks

No satisfation. no sincerity

Getting lower,Almost to over.

It’s Almost Time!!

I am so excited to get started tomorrow! I’ve done the half marathon twice, but I was not able to participate last year. Several of the poems I’ve written during previous marathons, after revision and more work, have been published! I’ve cleared my schedule and stocked up on snackies. See you all tomorrow!!

Why a Poetry Marathon?

Why a poetry marathon? Because I can’t run a marathon, nor a half marathon, nor a mile. I can walk. I can write. I attempt to write poetry. I love to read poetry. I did the half last year. I was determined to do the whole shebang this year. It’s a challenge I set before me. I intend to live up to my expectations. This year I will also read and comment on the efforts of fellow poets; it was encouraging to me and I know I can learn from others.
