Nerves, Neurons, News — My First Post

Saturday morning came far too quickly. Despite all my planning to write and practice the random poems, I was busy with scholarship galas, work collaboration, and following the news at every level of community – from my home neighborhood to the world stage. Like you, my nerves are activated — that wonderful, terrifying moment when we take a deep breath and see the view before diving into a new adventure. In my ongoing healing, I am working to always protect and connect my noggin’s neurons, and well, I already mentioned the news. I suspect all of these will be part of my twelve poems throughout today’s half marathon.

I look forward to all I will read and will write!

Good morning!

My name is Angie, and I am absolutely ready to write! I am camping, however, so my internet connection is very weak and unreliable. My poems will be written each hour, but they may get posted in bunches as I drive somewhere for better online access.

I can’t wait to see what you all write!!! (And, go Tessa!)

Oops! That page can’t be found.

Hey Marathoners, When I click on “Prompts” tab I get msg “Oops! That page can’t be found.” I understand no prompts are posted yet — still 1hr 6 min to go! Just want to make sure I’m looking in correct place for them to post. Reply would be appreciated!
Have fun everyone : ) Nandiya

Teachable moments in Lagos

Beautiful, rich, glittering, chic, urbane, topping that unkempt smile that traffic us to sleep on sluggish wheels.

This evening, she is dotting. On the times after the wee hours of today, she wept & spat on her children. We hear her wheezes. Yes, its cold. Until when we are already afraid of the darkness we would tune up her voices.

These are teachable moments. Of our history. currates onto no short customs, the manuals we copy are what they just, copies of another version. Reel in these moments like it shall never pass, 😌 savour every drip of its torrent.

Let me mind you. Revolt, revolution, will save you. I minded you. Let me mend you. Save after me “Only if I don’t join it” it will save you.

Teachable moments. Of our history. We are the teachers, the land is our students. Following the class tracks set on the mud paths ofloading onto rainbowful homes.

Teachable moments. There’s no one way to teeth after all, these are the days of the eerie gods of demeanour. may they lane seige upon their totem. Late quakers, delivers of doom. Go back-lit and touch, torch, and touché.

Stationary

If you could live a stationary life,

If you could be a pencil,

You could be erased by a eraser,

If you could be a eraser

You can lose your lifetime by erasing,

If you could be sketches,

You will lose your ink,

If you could be a ink pen,

You could be refill your ink,

Likewise live like a aink pen,

If you lose your happiness,

Refill it.

Bad people

The bad one people’s have.
Your so funny,
Like a bunny.
Everyone is greedy,
Not like a friendly.
Don’t make jealous with others.
If your wish didn’t appear in your eyes,
In the heaven it’s waiting for you a prise.
Selfish can kill your wish.
It’s the bad one people’s have,
Throw out the bad habits and be brave.

Excited

I am excited for the poetry marathon. This is my second year and I am looking forward to reading some awesome poetry.
