marching call

the life changing cast call

in the haven for future gathering

serenading the life songs

movement unending

the engagement for lifetime manifestations

converging in the connectivity discourses

seen in the pathway for new desires pondering anew

colossal madness unleashing for life events

it is the pathway for new understanding

calling in the march for life worthy times

questions queries unending often movers

still connectors for life existing

Poem # 15

El Grito de Lares (11th hour) -poetry prompt

Land of star shaped green trees that speak of atrocities

Mountain Terrains carved with sacred secret spots of our pain

Forever hidden from our oppressors

who murdered

us for capital gain

Tiny frogs

sing songs

of celestial nights

While we gathered ourselves for a fitting fight

September, we remember,

surrounded by our own elements of Earth, Wind, and Fire

As we designed a rebellion

to swiftly gain justice,

a dream we deservedly desire

Prompt 10

Some things you can push through
and ignore
but others are a loss that you can’t even brush off
There are triggers
and your body punches you
causing you to self inject from reality
You learn to live in pain
In loss
and you stop breathing mindfully
when it gets too hard
you can still practice
and try to keep an open mind

modern problems

It dripped, plipped, plopped,

slipped, slunk, slithered,

a cat sprinting away,

so fast the body was a comma,

paused

in midflight, from a hot cup

of fresh morning coffee

inches from a new laptop…

spilled away.

Easter

My family was not religious as I grew up

Nor are they now

But we always celebrated Easter

Kites flying above

Eggs filled with trinkets

Baskets hidden in the dryer, we always forget

Toys with a toothy rabbit

Chicks on the cheap plastic

I don’t even like carrots

On those sunny Easter Sundays

I learned to hate the sunshine

Associated it with bickering

The happiness I felt turned sour

Much like the eggs

Fresh ocean air became suffocating

Distracting myself with bubbles

Brothers putting paper grass in my hair

Driving with the top down

Baskets soon stopped

No celebration

Dyeing eggs with beer

What holiday changes dates every year?

Confusing

Upsetting

The Chef’s Speech

24 Poem’s “The Dinner Party”

Chef’s Speech

Before we proceed to dessert

I would like to say a few words

And allow you a burp break

I speak of course in self-effacing words

Thank you all so much for coming

And bringing the requested wines

Adding the organized recklessness

Of this experiment in gastronomical terror of matching wine

Once again I remind you

Not to feel obligated to finish courses abundantly

It is just a taste experience

I thank you all again, abundantly

I might I add

It was so much fun making my final decisions

And I apologize to those I missed

England, Colombia, Brazil, Hungary, German and the U.S.A… decisions decisions

Take as long as you’d like

Enjoy a drink or a glass of water

Before we honour Hawaii

That beautiful tiny land surrounded by water

Make Her One of Us (Prompt 10)

When the alicorn is restored and the prince of darkness vanquished
It’s time to wake the innocent, retrieve what has been lost
That swan dive
I want to dive like that
I want to be the savior and the saved
Glitter dusted heart entrusted
To be both
Instead of neither
Undeceived by faerie magic
To know her soul stays pure
If handed the sword I’m not sure
I’d do the same
Corruption shimmers entrancing
Dancing with a shadow
That promises power and dresses me in black
Is my love strong enough to shatter the chain
Or do I remain devoted to passion and hooves

Poem 18

A man came up to speak.
No shirt. Some paint across his face.

The moom shone down and stuck in hos shiny hair. Hair down his back.

He spoke a whisper to the man.

The man whispered back. A child made small.

Once in Colorado I foumd a body laying there. I took that body here so I might understand its life before it is set to the ground.

“Do you now understand”
The stranger wants to know.

The man assents.

Then come with me. Across these hidden paths. I know a sacred place to go.

If I Told You I Loved You

If i told you i loved you.

Would you be willing to love me back,

To write back to me,

To every letter I’d have sent to you,

Stained with the blood from my viens

Blood pumped straight from my heart,

Love pure,

Nothing to lose with all to gain,

A play on hearts through words engraved

she maintained,

The flame,

A love that was like beauty and the beast, but this time no change brought by a kiss

17. Technology

How will you reach your demise? When the sun scorches the skies. Or when one cannot touch his thighs.

Will we succumb to the unrest? To the distress?

You are linked to the world near and far, yet you make us appear distant and overly attached.

Unattached from human connection when you are near, how focused are we really to that pen-pal technology friend that we all share?

What will be next to go extinct, the cellphone we desperately cling to, the pocket microphone, the thumb drive, the printer, or the remote control that we would gladly trade in? This is how it has always been.

Oh technology you save us and you also do us in, what will we do without you?

We use you in someway everyday.

Some of my greatest days are when you are nowhere insight. Especially when I am inflight.

Too few to remember, so the memories become more special.

No need to compromise, I like to incorporate pictures into my everyday life, but we may need a sun flare to get us back on track. We may try to get you back.

Even though it is too late. Like the flip phone, you did not go out of date.

it was just matter of time before you came back in style.  Just give us a break once in a while.

I hope that  G.P.S. does not ever go extinct, even though a compass is cool to navigate. Don’t bring us to the brink. E.T.A.’s are a feature we like.  It works best on cars and motorcycles , not necessarily a bike.Yet, we like it a lot.  At least I do 🙂
