Buy.ology (hour 23)
One of my fav books, Buy.ology
explores the biology
of why
we buy
the things we buy.
Hadn’t thought about it before Buy.ology
the book opened the eyes
to many a surprise
of why
we buy
the things we buy.
Had thought sex sells before Buy.ology
the book debunked
that belief
and another
and you shudder
at why
you buy
the things you buy.

Beloved (2022 Poem 22)
Somewhere you sleep, perhaps across the ocean
Dreaming beautiful ideas to life
Living your best life, as you are meant to
Fully in the present, wasting nothing
Shining light into the darkness
Bringing joy and comfort to the fallen
Tempering your strength with kindness
You consciously create each moment
Perhaps one day when I have found you
Our two souls will both be ready
(Prompt: Use the word Tenderness as this hour’s prompt.)
Hour8
I am impatient to be in your arms,
to fall in love with you again and again!
Will we pass reality’s test, my virtual lover?
Are you eager to hold me and to keep me?
Hour 11. Atlas Shrugged
Getting something for nothing is the norm of the day/
Each one wants to win, who then will pay for it?
Burden of many rests on a few sturdy shoulders/
How long will these Atlases keep the world up?
Orwell’s bulls are shedding blood, sweat and tears/
The more equal pigs are laughing away to the bank/
Not for long will this state last
The bleeding giant soon will shrug
The world will roll and may be will land in an equitable universe.

Not So Free -(Magic 9 Poem) Poem 23/Hour 23
Not So Free ((Magic 9 Poem))
By: LuvMiFreely
The world has caused a lot of uncertainty
Planting seeds of doubt
Nothing that’s happening makes sense to me
Government continues to lie
Parents are struggling to fed their babies
But they’re worried about abortions
When will they open their eyes to see
That they are slowly taking us out
What happened to our freedom, our democracy?
not in vain (prompt 15)
several years ago scientists were able
to create a beating human heart
with a spinach leaf
the vascular systems found in this plant
resemble our own so intricately
it can be layered to create cardiac tissue
so I will not be told
that magic isn’t real
no doubts that we are all connected
it is beating and pulsing with viscous life
passion mapped electric and conscious
all that I’ve wanted is proof
something substantial to support my claims
to validate my dreaming nature
my lust for life
Ambience
Ambience
Star studded ethereal chandeliers
brilliantly hung in the middle
exuding magnificence all around
a man underneath holds his breath
as if what mystery to unravel
beyond the walls and ceilings

- My Memoirs Empowerment and Defiance
The memoir of Sabinah Adewole, who at the young age of four became an orphan when her dad died suddenly in a ghastly car accident in 1971 in London . Her mother a single parent had no option so returned to Nigeria in Africa on a ship in 1972 on the MV Auriel Her brother aged seven became the unofficial guardian of his four year old sister Sabinah. This was the beginning of My Memoirs Empowerment Defiance – a journey she was not prepared for. Her mum at the young age of 32 turned to alcohol as an escape. She was placed in a boarding school away from her familiar surroundings in Lagos in 1981. In 1995 and with a black and white photograph of her Dad in hand, she takes the leap to return to England to search for her Dad. She returns to the UK with her two sons aged 18 months and three years and this was the beginning of My Memoirs – Empowerment Defiance .
