A List of Intrusive Thoughts My Brain Deemed More Important Than Writing Tonight
– That text asking if you remember P from high school is totally going to be telling you another ex boyfriend died
– Whatever happened to N who married that guy you almost hooked up with the first weekend of college? She hasn’t been on social media in a long time
– That old ass Dierks Bently video with the dated blonde fauxhawk? Yeah, that’s not Dierks, that’s J and you should totally panic about him being around even though you live halfway across the country from his last known city
– That cute person you met on Tinder a couple days ago? They’re totally ghosting you. They’re not observing Shabbat because they would have said they’re observant instead of dissapearing
– What do you mean we shouldn’t be browsing Facebook and Nextdoor for free stuff for the house we don’t even have yet?
– You’re behind by X poems, you should just throw in the towel
– Spend time researching all the North American cryptids. You don’t need to write when you can learn
– Fuck you
– Spend time researching walk in cares in your area that you already did a week ago but at an hour in which they are all closed so you can’t call and verify information

Hot pizza
Cold pizza
With a whole lot of cheese
Pepperoni
Salami
Bacon
Pineapple
Onion
And tomato paste
1 pizza 2 pizza
A slice or 2 or 3
Dessert pizza
Banana
Caramel
chocolate sauce and cream
Yummy pizza for my birthday tea.
Toddler – Hour Twenty-Two
Toddler
She loved three things alone:
Peanut butter, cheeseburgers
And chocolate milk
She dislikes three:
Vegetables, clean up
And bedtime
And she’s just like me
And The Women Gathered
60 years ago, they Marched on Washington
From the Carolinas, Washington state, the West Coast, Texas, the Midwest and
of course the Deep South
It was over 250,000 strong over all generations
Who can forget the vision of power across the Lincoln Memorial?
Who can forget the speeches of the voices of power?
Who can forget the vision of the powerful Black men covering the stage?
Who can forget one of the most powerful orations ever delivered?
And who can forget the women….?
Wait, there was a scarcity of women visible that day
Yet it was a quiet known fact that the women were the forces
behind this momentous day
Unfortunately misogyny, sexism, chauvinism was a part of our brothers reach
Even as they fought against racism
So on the 60th anniversary of this fateful event
The Women gathered to read this powerful speech and share their modern day commentary
Via Zoom
This too was but another powerful oration by a multigenerational cadre of sisters
It was empowering and fulfilling
Although not sufficiently present 60 years ago
The women will continue to gather

Cheese is life
Or so my girlfriend says

So may not be unbiased
