Simple Wish
All the things she wished for
All of them came true
But when she wished
For what to wish
What wad the Universe to do
24 Poems ~ 24 Hours
All the things she wished for
All of them came true
But when she wished
For what to wish
What wad the Universe to do
Incomparable, unmatched
free from attachments ;
connected by sun and moon
and heart beats of all
that exist
having waited since
beginningless time
no more waiting
now
for blessings and gifts ,
homecoming close;
I am home
no begining no end.
Endings are the line
breaks and periods of life.
Abrupt. Divisive.
Yet necessary for the
coherence we crave in dreams.
It’s easy, isn’t it?
Taking that bullet was easy for you?
Leaving me behind, out of the blue.
Even if it was to save my life,
To protect our children, you, my wife
Have left the world so much sooner than I
I don’t think that’s enough reason to die.
Was there even a concious thought behind the action?
Did you love me so little for such a reaction?
And sure, they’ll say you loved me dearly.
That you saved me, clearly.
But I’m still alone and he’s still got that gun.
I’ll probably be joining you soon, won’t that be fun?
Your sacrifice was wasted on giving me more life
Even though he already planned to kill you too, my wife.
Tick tock
Tick tock
The morning is still
Drips from last night linger
A cup of hope
Scalding hot resiliency
Whispering
You got this baby
C. Churchill
Do you see me
I wonder
can you see the tightly coiled strands of my hair that creates my crown
The roundness of my ass from the remnants of the shape
I USE TO HAVE
or am I invisible
do I walk into rooms through doors that are unseen
or am I unimportant and unattractive
in your dead eyes to bring your attention to me
You don’t see these thunder thighs
or these mesmerizing pretty brown eyes
you can’t see the voluptuousness of my bosom
flowing freely over this belly of goodness
that protects my Austrailia-down under
shit, my pouch is where it’s at
and ha, DONT YOU DARE CALL ME FAT
Hey I just got a lot more of what every woman has to give
divinely distributed from my front to my back to my sides and my mid
but don’t worry when it’s time to take care of business
I can still drop it like its hot
and make you fall in love
you dig???

The beginning
Another day starts
With the handiwork of God
A calm blue sky
Subtleties of color streaking through the sky
The sun climbing to its place
We go about our day
Filling the 24 hours with necessity
Demands and frivolities
The time passes
Exchanges with coworkers and friends
Moment by moment
Sunset approaches
We are in awe by the beauty
Each day ends
Uniquely beautiful
Another is chalked up as done
Peaceful rest
you were everything
and nothing
to me
I had to let
you go
strings cut
monkey
off my back
for the last
time
said I to myself
46 times before
what made
this time
so different
I am different
I am better
without the
pretenses
the process
undo because
your heart is ill
prepared to
love my heart
permanently
problem is
I was willing to
wait around
count the sheep
watch you hide
and I’d seek
but your
heart is not
to be found
and I dropped
mine on the
ground for you
for you
I was torment
and lament
of blue
dreams reoccured
and the missing
piece was
complete without
you
so this is the
end the final
show
the last goodbye
the i told me so
again
all is not fair
in love
but this wasn’t
love, was it.
only fools rush in
I say only fools
stay
so goodbye
farewell
see you never
is the better
way
wish you well
on the other
side of the street
the way we
don’t kiss
and say goodbye
is now loading
and the load
up is complete.

My sistah, my sistah,
Why are you so burdened?
My sistah, sistah,
Why is your soul so heavy?
Oh my sistah,
Why is your head bowed?
Oh my sistah,
Don’t forget that crown!
The crown that He wore,
That streamed the redness of your freedom,
The crown that He wore,
That made you royalty,
The crown that secured your future,
Made you an heiress,
Before you even became you!
Oh my sistah, my sistah,
Go ahead and lift your head,
You were made whole,
By stripes He wore,
And the nails in His hands!
So my sistah,
Find joy in your sorrow,
Find hope in your soul,
Live in His grace,
And walk into your destined place!
My Sistah! My Sistah!
Did you hear what I said?
Wear that crown,
Stand up proud,
Because in everything that seems wrong,
That crown brings strength,
That same strength,
That took you from a timid princess,
To a God-fearing Queen!
My sistah, MY SISTAH,
You will find Peace!!
The time has come to start a new journey
No more look back
It doesn’t exist any more…
not even the time when your heart got cracked
Today is a new day
You’ve got a clean slate…
you have to choose what you want to add to you plate
Sit yourself still, focus
and listen to your inner voice
then from a place of peace
make happiness, joy, love your choice…
