The Beginning

“Everything starts somewhere…”
Though knowing where depends
On what you mean by “start”
Or “everything”.

Something starts everywhere,
The chain of consequence
Cannot be predicted
Precisely.

Freedom to make a choice
Freedom to take the chance
Is meaningless without
Consequence.

Forge your link in the chain,
Own neither more nor less
Than your contribution
To history.

Terry Pratchett, Hogfather
(opening line)

I Have No Life But This

I have no life but this

To write the smiles,

To see the songs,

To listen to the rainbows.

I have no life but this

To learn the patter of rain,

To touch the air,

To fly the soil.

I have no life but this

To run the ocean,

To swim the sky,

To till the stars.

I have no life but this

To cradle love,

To teach faith,

To feel spirit.

I have no life but this.

Inspired by Emily Dickinson’s poem “I Have No Life But This”

For the sake of it

When ideas run away

eyes start betraying you

when you know this will change

still it seems

you can’t do

then my friend

just keep on doing it

keep walking

keep writing

keep dancing

keep whatever doing

trust me

you will

pass through

even if its

for the sake of it

Birds

Seven birds sing to me in the morning

From a tree on the block

I know there are winter

Birds and summer birds

I cannot tell which is which, there

Are different sounds one

I believe is a blue jay’s call

They sing, I get up, no alarm

Nothing to do but listen when they

Sing I sleep and then leisurely

Open my eyes in the winter I

Pray before waking in the spring

I have too much to hide, do not disclose

That I am sleeping to avoid the

Day the work even joy I would gain

If I could sing to awaken you, my love.

Poem19/24 “The White Silence” by:Jack London

Carmen wanted to shave

Mason whose hair so long

Using a wax but she was afraid

A white silence came near

Sounds so ridiculous

Attacks no hear

Knowing fear

Malemute kid hold the trigger

There was a sharp report

Mason swung into his aerial sepulcher

Malemute Kid lashed the dogs into a wild gallop

As if fled across the snow

Tell Me (19)

Secrets
will eat you
like worms in the watermelon
oozing juice on the countertops.

Secrets
will harm you
like kites flying into power lines
burning up at the end of your rope.

Secrets
will stun you
like a head on auto collision
leaving only blood and tears.

Secret
will kill you
like atomic bombs on unsuspecting villages
leaving stunned devastation.

Secrest
will vacate you
when released like butterflies on wedding days
light as a moonbeam.

Seeds on ground zero

below zero degree,ground freeze,

blistering wind and icy water boozer,

tiny seed pods succumbed and in surrender,

covered in frigid ice,frozen.

will it continue to survive, hibernate in blanket of ice,

or drowning over saturated freezing ground dying.

loosing hope,spring won’t come.

Misunderstood

“I’m sure you have no trouble realizing
that people occasionally misunderstand each other”

“Actually, I do!, she replied
She could not fathom
the thought of being
and feeling
misunderstood

As hard as she tried
She found it troublesome
to wrap her mind
around that idea
of why she would
or any one else
be part of someone’s misunderstanding

She lived her life
being straight forward
in what she said
especially in what she did
she figured every one else
lived their life
with that standard in mind

Pondering that thought
She realized
that she is part
of the masses
As taxing as the idea
may be
She couldn’t help
but agree
that every one
at some point
is misunderstood
to a certain degree

*The first two lines of the poem comes from the book “Mindwise” by Nicolas Epley *

#16bis – Leap-of-Faith time

Creature_20140511111156 copyAll colours mixed

All sizes together

Various shapes

And a big mouth

Shouting in all ears

The big mistake

You never come back from

All savours mixed

All lengths together

Various drawings

And a big shout

Calling all tears

The big misunderstanding

You never jump far from

All mirrors mingling

All languages mixing up

All kinds of patterns

A big summon

Cries all anguish

Super incomprehension

Leap-of-Faith-time has come
