  1. Wow, seeing my name in a list like this, makes this feel all the more real.

I just finished reading some of my own work and was blown away with some of it, I cannot wait to see what other people came up with.

Congrats to everyone who completed, but also to every single poet out there who took part and helped keep the rest of us sane(ish) along the way.

  2. Wow!! I’m honored to see my name listed with so many fabulous writers!! I’ve learned much from you guys and gals! This was a wonderful experience, and so glad that I did it! Congratulations to all!!

  3. Congratulations everybody!
This js my 3rd full marathon, but my 1st official one. The first two were jist to see if I could do it, so I jist followed alobg on my own. This year, I decided to join all of you here on the official site. What a huge difference it made ro post poems every hour with all of you!
This has been a life changing year for me. Writing this marathon with all of you literally changed me. I broke open about 5am, and found a peace I have been searchinf for for a year and a half. I am profoundly humbled and grateful. Thank you, all, so much!

    See you all next year!

  4. I am so honored to be on this list! Thank you so much for hosting this and I can’t wait until next year! What a good feeling it is to know that I can follow prompts and still come up with ideas to write. Thank you again!! And thanks to everyone who shared their poems with us – they were fabulous!!

  5. Congrats to all of you!! I wish I didn’t have to work tomorrow (as a teacher where I need to be somewhat sane) or I would have tried the full marathon. Still happy to have completed the half – but you are all amazing. Well done! Be proud!

  6. I send a HUGE appreciation to our organizers/founders!

    Y’all rock!

Even with all that you have to manage on your home front, you made this work. This was just as fulfilling as my first go around in 2017. You did not miss a beat!

  7. I feel so proud of all of us. Sleepy, warrior Poetry Champions that we were, we never gave up! We did it! Congratulations to all of us. Such a pleasure seeing our names together like this. An honor to be a part of this crazy adventure! πŸ™‚ <3

  8. Congrats all y’all Marathon Winners! Quite an accomplishment!!!

Is there a list compiling the half-marathon winners? And is there a certificate for them as well? I’m having trouble finding it.

  9. Super stoked to see my name on the list! I hope everyone gained some personal insight from their inspiration like I did! Poetry can kindled a fire for the passion that lives inside of each of us! Blessed be!

  10. I’m really struggling with “winner” every time I see it.
Maybe we could use reendoowriter’s words instead of ‘winner’ – “sleeper, warrior, poetry champtions”

I suspect there’s something for me to write about…my reaction to “winner.” Hmm.

    1. Aww that’s so sweet @Jane and Friends. I have no issues on it being used πŸ™‚

I enjoyed this challenge so much @The Poetry Marathon and I think you guys did such an amazing job organising it along with the prompts too.
