I am pleased to present the wonderful poets who successfully wrote 24 poems in 24 hours, a truly remarkable achievement.
The poets are not listed in any particular order, but they are all particularly impressive for the incredible feat of endurance and creativity they completed. Also, keep in mind that the counting may not be perfect. If I missed someone, please let me know by emailing poets@thepoetrymarathon.com
Included here are also those wonderful poets who successfully challenged themselves to write 12 poems in 12 hours; giving themselves a full day of creative endeavoring.
The following poets fell just short of 24 poems in 24 hours. Though they didn’t quite finish the full marathon, they deserve special recognition for more than completing the half, and coming so close to finishing the full marathon. (And if I somehow missed one of your poems, in my counting, please let me know!!!)
We Valkyrie Kerry and Brett Dyer completed all 24 poems in the time span. They are all uploaded in the correct hours and marked.
You’ve been added! Let me know if I missed anything else.
I completed 24 poems in 24 hours by my count. Thank you.
I’ve added you to the list! I’m not sure how I missed you the first time. I’m looking into it.
Thank you!
Congratulations everyone for writing poetry! one..two..twelve…twenty…twenty-four or whatever your number is! This was fun and such a cool challenge:) Hopefully “see” everyone next marathon!
I think I was missed. 😅
I can confirm that you’ve been added to the list, under “bennerad.”
Thank you Jacob!
Yay, feels good to see my name out there. Thank you!
Thank you so much.
I did the half marathon. I feel like I was Missed too but I did lose count I might have stopped when I had one more to go. I was interrupted later in the day. So I can’t be sure. Also I didn’t publish mine right away. I didn’t know how to so they all got published the next day. Thank you
I can confirm you’ve been added to the list!
Yayy!! Thank you!
Huge congratulations to every poet who wrote verse during the marathon(s)! It was a great experience and I look forward to doing it again next year! (Also, I’m still reading & commenting…plenty of lovely poems to get back to reading!)
I did write 12 poems in 12 hours. Unfortunately, I think I only posted 5 and the rest were drafts which I thought were posted. My last poem was a little late because I literally fell asleep on my keyboard. It was 3am here. I think I was able to post everything the next morning. If this all doesn’t count, it’s alright. Now I know better for next year.
I am also not sure if my pen name or my real name Julie Ann Christiansen appeared on the poems.
I’ve added you to the list!
Stoked to see my name in the 24 hour finishers. It was my first time. Thank you.
Please, be advised that I am shocked that my name is not among the winners. Kindly note that I did finish 24 poems in 24 hours. This is my second year. I did in 2020. I did in 2021. I am going to do in 2022.
Please, can you check again?
Thank you
Thank you, Jacob and Caitlin. This has been a really enjoyable marathon (my first!) to be part of and also great to have the opportunity to comment and read and explore the other voices out there. A truly inspiring experience. Well done to everyone who shared in the moment!
Well done to all my fellow poets -both 12 and 24 hour sloggers – i look forward to some really lovely ones in the anthology-. I’ll keep on commenting though on the poems – i’ve enjoyed the ones i’ve read to date. Well done again!
It is an honor to be among these names. (I completed a half marathon.)
This was such a great experience!! I am so glad I completed the 12 hour marathon. I hope to participate again on next year if God says the same. I have commented on some of the poems, but I’ve got to get back to my commenting so I do at least 24 comments. All of you are so talented and I am happy just to be in the mix. Congrats to everyone who completed either the 24 hour or the 12 hour portion of the marathon because you guys rock.
Congratulations to all of you. For those of us who couldn’t endure to the end, may we find strength to do better next year.
Anyone know Ardelle Ray (MsTigerToYou) . Her FB and Twitter postings of Haiku seem to have stopped around 2019.
Dear Poetry Marathon 2021
I wrote 12 poems in 12 Hours but not listed.
Best regards
